You're Still Here

I had a dream last night that you came to me on silver wings, and I flew away with you on a painted sky. And I woke up wondering what was real, is what you see and touch or what you feel? Because you're still here; you're everywhere we've ever been. You're still here.

- I know it wasn't a dream. I know that you were beside me holding me once again. Perfect, like it's always been.

I woke up in the middle of the night and saw you sleeping. I was hoping you were dreaming about me. I kissed your cheek and said “I love you.” You reached for me and then you mumbled “I love you too, is everything ok?” I said I’m fine baby, go back to sleep. I’ve just been thinking life is changing around us and I hope you believe. I’ll still be me; just a normal girl from small town nowhere. I’ll still hold your hand, I’ll still be me. If you can count on one thing, I’ll be here; the same girl that you’ve known for centuries. I’ll still be me. Empires could rise and fall, the sun could swallow the moon; and I don’t hold a crystal ball. But I promise you; I’ll still be me, just a normal girl from small town nowhere.
